What a fantastic band at the Railway Canteen last Friday….so tight and musical ….and with powerful lead vocals…MR. HATE really pulled out all the stops to deliver their music to an appreciative audience…a real treat for us…they played a great set with songs from Steely Dan…Foo Fighters…Tina Turner…Kaiser Chiefs…Queen…Prince and many more. Certainly a ‘come back soon’ gig….and I hope they do.

The first time I saw Mr Hate advertised at the Canteen, I expected a catalogue of death metal and aggro rock. I was wrong then, and again tonight, the band showed their musicianship in an eclectic mix of covers. Even the soundcheck to Frampton's Show me the Way offered a perfect display of vocal harmony, delicate guitar and a rhythm section that deserved proper attention. A first set included Bob Seeger, Steely Dan and the obligatory Sabbath, Whitesnake and even Springsteen. The second half rocked a bit harder but, with a Sweet number, Kaiser Chiefs, Manics and a rendition of Purple Rain that had half the female audience in tears, the band had fun, ending with Rebel Yell and Highway to Hell to send us home happy. Good music, well played to an appreciative audience in my favourite small venue. What more do we want?

Mr Hate never fail to deliver , last night at The New Inn opened up with a Manics number and just kept smashing song after song , great energy and a tight band thanks guys see you back next year.

THE INN Nantymoyle Well where do I start talking about last nights band "fab" , "spot on" , "great entertainment","one of the best we've had yet"," make sure you book them again " all comments after the gig. What a great night pity there weren't just a few more out but an awesome night any way with great entertainers, so a big big thank you and shout out to MR HATE and hope to see them all again soon.
